Personal information collected

When you visit we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We also collect the request made by your browser to the server hosting our website which includes the IP address, the date and time of connection and the page you ask for. We use this information to ensure the security of our website. These logs are deleted automatically after one year. We may use and disclose it as necessary in the event of a security concern or incident (see ‘Third parties’ below).

Anti-spam policy

We enforce a strict ‘Anti-Spam’ policy that means we do not intend to sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third-party without your consent. In addition, the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (LCFI) will not send you email that you have not agreed to receive.

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, you may be contacted with announcements, news and upcoming events. With each email sent, you have the option of ‘unsubscribing’ from our mailing list at any time, thereby disabling any further such email communication from being sent. If you wish to have specific communications with a member of the LCFI staff, you will be required to provide specific information that will be routed to the appropriate contact within LCFI.

LCFI will only disclose your personal information or any of its log file information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such actions are necessary.


LCFI uses all reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure.
