Film by Beth Singler, DragonLight Films

Ghost in the Machine (2019)

Ghost in the Machine asks the big questions: What is consciousness? Could Artificial Intelligence ever be conscious? Could we even ever prove that it was? And if we could, what would that mean to our society and our future?

Fourth in a quartet of short documentary films made made by Dr Beth Singler, produced and directed by DragonLight Films, and co-funded by the Faraday Institute and the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI), with external funding from an ESRC Impact accelerator grant held by the LCFI. Special thanks to Jonathan Cornwell and the Science and Human Dimension Project (SHDP).
